What we Believe
All of our beliefs come from the Bible. We are an independent fundamental missionary Baptist church. We use the KJV 1611 translation of the Bible. See below for more details.
Bible
We believe the whole Bible, as orginally written is the very word of God as revealed and inspired. It is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. 1 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Hebrews 1:1; Acts 1:16; Deuteronomy 8:3
Creation
We believe the Genesis account of creation is the truth. Mankind was created in God's own image and likeness. All life was made directly by God. Genesis 1-2
Salvation by grace through faith
We believe we all are sinners (Genesis 3:1-6, Romans 5:12-19) and incapable of self-recovery from free will or good works (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6). God gave his son Jesus to become as man and die as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1John 1:7, Revelation 5:9, 2 Peter 1:18-19). When we choose to believe this and confess our sins, He gives us the redeeming grace of salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
Local church
We believe that all who are saved are part of the family of God but that He then calls us to be part of a local visible body of baptized believers, a church. Acts 2:41, 2:4, 2:45-47, Philippians 1:27, Colossians 1:10, 1 Peter3:8. Jesus is the head of the church, the bride of Christ. Ephesians 5:22-24, Colossians 1:1-18.
